About location
Gilów – is a small village on a borderland of Western Roztocze and Lubelska Upland. It is impossible to find it in tourists guides, therefore we will try to encourage you to visit this wonderful place. Our house is situated on a hill in the background, and only a field road leads to it. It is an incredible place from which you can see a picturesque landscape. From one side you can observe cultivable fields that lay on terraces, and from the other there is a wonderful view on meadows and a humming wood.
Roztocze is a place worth visiting during every season of a year. In the spring time, everything is blooming and in a beech and hornbeam wood the green carpet of spring fleece appear. There is no need to praise summer time when you can enjoy the best weather in Poland. In the autumn time there are colourful loessial gullies filled with leaves, and woods are full of mushrooms. Winter time is the best for ski lovers, who can ski in the nearby ski lift, and for all people who enjoy snow and sledging down the slopes. The whole surrounding encourage you to participate in hiking and bike escapades. It is a place full of charm where you can regain you energy and rest from city’s rush and clamour, and from dusk till dawn enjoy bird singing and observe fireflies at night. It is a perfect place for few days rest, or it can be a base for exploring different parts of roztocze. Moreover, it is the only accommodation that lies on the bicycle trail.
